Topographical Surveys
A topographical survey is an accurate representation of a defined area of land, identifying both natural and manmade features, on a scaled survey drawing. Typically, they show levels, buildings, physical boundary features, kerbs, walls, trees, street furniture, streams etc. Our service can be tailored to suit your requirements. They are often used by architects, engineers, planners and arboriculturists and are most commonly used in the planning stages of a project to help design layouts for buildings, roads, landscaping and drainage etc.
Our Topographical Surveys
When undertaking topographical surveys, data is captured using the most appropriate technology according to site conditions and survey specification. This could be Total Stations, GPS, laser scanning, UAV technology or a combination of these. The output is often 2D Autocad drawings and PDFs but we can also provide 3D Autocad drawings and Digital Terrain Models (DTMs). All our surveying is undertaken in accordance with specifications from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and guidance from The Survey Association.
